Developing a Seamless Sharing Experience on YouTube
Inspired by the daily frustration of sifting through multiple shared YouTube links, I embarked on this project to design a streamlined sharing feature for the platform. My goal was to address the inconvenience faced by users like myself who frequently share or receive videos, creating a solution that simplifies the process and enhances user experience.
Cumbersome Sharing Process
Sharing videos on YouTube involves multiple steps, making it inconvenient for users.
Recipient Viewing Confirmation
Users cannot check if the recipient has watched the shared video.
Limited Sharing Options
Users have limited sharing options beyond traditional methods like messaging or social media.
Currently, to share a YouTube video, users need to share a link. The sharing user has to continuously copy the link, while the recipient has to click the link to watch the video.
Users can use the sharing feature within YouTube to share more videos more easily and quickly. This resolves the inconvenience between users.
