Background
Capstone Project with Nexen Tire
Collaborated with Nexen Tire to design a futuristic concept tire, focusing on eco-friendliness and efficiency. Airless tires allow both on and off-road driving. On-road mode is easy for normal road driving Off-road mode has been designed to allow driving on curves.
Problem Discovery
Time-Consuming Tire Changes
Users waste time switching between on-road and off-road tires, causing frustration.
Poor On-Road Performance
Off-road tires are noisy and uncomfortable on paved roads, leading to dissatisfaction.
Maintenance Challenges
Tires get clogged with mud and snow, making them hard to clean and maintain.

Reflection
During the project's initial concept meeting, I proposed using static electricity to collect tire and road pollutants for later disposal. Although the project manager chose a different direction, I later saw my idea developed and recognized, which left me with some regret for not advocating more strongly. However, the experience taught me the importance of collaboration, leading to a successful outcome.
